Gigi Guadagnucci Museum

The Museo Gigi Guadagnucci in Massa is dedicated to the work of one of the most important marble masters of the twentieth century, born at the foot of the Apuan Alps and trained between Grenoble and Paris, where he became friends with artists such as Yves Klein and Tinguely. The museum is housed on the ground floor and in the basement of the seventeenth-century Villa della Rinchiostra, surrounded by a beautiful park, and was created from the desire of Guadagnucci himself to return to his hometown a significant selection of his sculptural production. A small and evocative place, conceived from the very beginning as a vibrant centre for contemporary art.
